I hope everyone had a safe and great weekend. This is Week 7. Here are a few highlights;  We are  learning about GLO #4: Quality Producer (The ability to recognize and produce quality performance and quality products). 

The students took the initial Diagnostic test for iReady Reading and Math. The iReady Reading scores and the baseline marks from our Kindergarten Checklist are used to group the students into instructional groups. I will be working with these small groups with interventions to develop their reading skills. All scores will be shared with you during Parent Conferences. 

We will begin our  Show and Tell schedule next week, the schedule is in your child's folder along with their new homework packet for this week. Please help to choose and have a prep-talk about their special item. Who? What? When? Where? And Why is it special to them? Don’t forget to bring something on their sharing day. Let’s have a great week……..

REMINDERS:

• Check your child’s folder daily. Take out all school memos and completed work from their folders.
• There are practice sheets in their folders: Progress Monitoring Sheet, Tracing of Name, Alphabet, and Numbers to practice at home. Use a dry erase marker on the sheet protector to practice their handwriting and when finished, have your child wipe it clean. 
• Keep the Student Login Form, Monthly Challenge, and practice sheets in their folders.
• Weekly Packets should also be left in your child's folder. On each page, there is a week day written on the top. We will have time in class for your child to do their packets. If they are not done, then they will finish it at home for homework. Packets will be due and switched out on the following Monday.
